Belgian Championships
Dear athletes, supporters and parents,
In the coming weeks, several important events are scheduled within the Belgian OCR season: the Belgian Championships. These competitions are the moments to win national titles and measure yourself against the best athletes in the country.
BK Short Course – De Sportstal (Langveldstraat 56 – Heist-op-den-Berg)
Sunday 12 April 2026
The organisation of De Sportstal is fully engaged in preparing a challenging and high-quality championship course.
See our Races 2026 page for tickets and links for more information.
Youth athletes will open the championship in the morning, followed by the adult athletes competing for the Belgian title in the afternoon.
Good news for those who want to prepare optimally:
on Friday 10 April, the course will exceptionally be opened for a test session.
Open course: 18:00 – 20:00
Participation: €5 per person
Everyone is warmly welcome to explore the course and become familiar with the obstacles ahead of the Belgian Championship.
BK Standard Course – Invictus (Boekfos, Asse)
Saturday 9 May 2026
At Invictus, preparations are also in full swing for the Belgian Standard Course Championship. After last year’s successful edition, this competition once again promises to be a sporting highlight.
See our Races 2026 page for tickets and links for more information.
As last year, the competition will not take place at the Invictus location itself, but at Boekfos in Asse, where another challenging championship course will be developed.
BK Team Race – OCR Houtland (Bruggestraat 91, Torhout)
Sunday 17 May 2026
New in 2026!
This season, we are writing a new chapter in Belgian OCR history with the organisation of the very first Belgian Team Race Championship!
The honour of organising this premiere goes to OCR Houtland, once again guaranteeing a challenging and sportive competition environment.
Each team consists of 3 participants who start together, stay together and overcome all obstacles together. Only by truly working together will you reach the finish line and compete for the Belgian title.
See our Races 2026 page for tickets and links for more information.
We look forward to seeing many teams at the start of this very first edition and launching a new tradition within the Belgian OCR landscape.

6th Belgian OCR League – Short Course
After the Belgian Championships, the competition season continues immediately with the start of the 6th edition of the Belgian OCR League.
The opening race will take place immediately after the BK Standard Course in Asse, on 10 May, again organised by Invictus.
The Belgian OCR League once again forms an important part of the national competition season, where athletes collect points over multiple races for the league ranking and for possible European and/or World Championship qualification.
See our Races 2026 page for tickets and links for more information.
⚠ Important:
For both the Belgian Championships and all Belgian OCR League races, the registration fee will increase by €5 from two weeks before the start of the respective race. Registering on time is therefore worthwhile!
We encourage all athletes to register in time and prepare for another competitive and sportive league edition.

National Clothing
With the international championships in sight, we would like to once again draw attention to the national clothing.
The official Belgian competition shirts are mandatory for all athletes participating in the European Championship and/or World Championship.
The national clothing can be ordered via the form below:
National shirts
Be sure to check our webshop to see what is available.
⚠ Important:
Please place your order no later than 10 March.
There is a delivery time of 6 to 8 weeks, which makes timely ordering necessary in order to receive your clothing before the EC and WC.
Do not forget to have your surname printed on the shirt when placing your order. This can easily be indicated in the webshop during the ordering process.
⚠ Price adjustment
Our supplier Field Sportswear has recently implemented a price increase, which has also resulted in higher prices for the national clothing. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
Together, we ensure a strong and professional Belgian presence on the international stage!

International Competitions as Ideal Season Preparation
In addition to our Belgian competitions, we also offer the opportunity to participate in various international competitions.
The competitions organised by NLOSF (Netherlands) and the Short Course race of SWAT OCR (France) offer an excellent opportunity to gain race rhythm and prepare optimally for the Belgian competition season.
NLOSF – Netherlands
The Dutch competitions within the NLOSF Sprint Series are known for their strong organisation and competitive courses. These races offer Belgian athletes the opportunity to gain additional race experience and test their form early in the season.
See our Races 2026 page for tickets and links for more information.
Attention! Registration for Dutch races is possible up to 14 days before the respective race!
SWAT OCR – France
The SWAT OCR Short Course in France is also an interesting competition within the international calendar and can perfectly serve as preparation for the Belgian season.
See our Races 2026 page for tickets and links for more information.
In addition, SWAT OCR also organises a 400m race.
For interested athletes, this race can be used as a qualification race for the European 400m Championship, which will take place this year in Italy (9–12 July).
We wish all participants the best of success!
